Mother Nature is Medicine

Mother Nature is Medicine
MOTHER NATURE IS MEDICINE. The Creator has given us everything that we need. It is all here on this Earth and in the Universe. It can be found in the Earth, in the Sky, in the Waters, in the Air. Often times, we, as humans, tend to view nature as something that is "apart" from ourselves. We talk of spending time "in nature." We, in a sense, distance ourselves. In reality, we ARE "a - part" as well. The Great Spirit put us here and blessed us and our ancestors with this beautiful earth. Embracing the Creator and the natural blessings is food & nourishment for the body, mind, and soul. Nature is medicine. ~Peace and Blessings~

Cheese ball Roll-Ups for Christmas

For an appetizer/ hors d'œuvre, or a snack, these roll-ups are delicious with a lot of flavor. You can dip it in salsa as well. Chill and serve! I made one cheese ball and cut it in half and used half for the roll-ups.
Recipe for the cheese ball:

1 bar of Cream Cheese
Chopped Green Onion
Chopped Green Pepper
Crushed Pineapple
Crushed Pecans
One teaspoon of Seasoning Salt (I didn't have seasoning salt this time so I used Soul Seasoning)

Make sure the cream cheese is soft before adding everything together, that way it will be easier to mix. And drain all of the liquid from the pineapple can before mixing. Mix it all together, roll the ball in extra crushed pecans and let it chill, then serve!

I made the roll-ups for a Christmas hors d'œuvre this year, using the other half for a cheese ball with crackers.

Take a plain tortilla, or any flavor tortilla that you prefer and any size you prefer. I used a plain white medium-sized tortilla and spread the cheese ball mixture on top. Be sure to spread the mixture all over to the edge of the tortilla because you will be using the whole tortilla.

Begin slicing your tortilla into 1-inch strips. Then roll each strip, plain side on the outside of course :)

So easy and simple and quite delicious. Serve cold and store in the refrigerator afterwards.
To save time and tummy space :)  make the appetizer/ hors d'œuvre for Christmas Eve. After our Christmas breakfast, we were too full for appetizers and waited till the main Christmas meal to eat again.
